Best thing to do is to contact both places & tell them what you want.

I must be getting old. I don't understand the desire to go over 110mph in a 4000lb, 16 year old car. Just because you can make something go fast doesn't make it a good idea. Good luck, I hope it works out like you want it to.

I probably will never go over 110, but the way my brain works why have a engine that is capable of much more be limited? If it's a easy thing to do I'll do it, if it's complicated then I won't bother.

If you do decide to go for it, be careful. By running with at least V rated tires, on a flat, straight, empty road in good weather during the day. And also see that the steering & suspension are in perfect shape.

No don't want the Autobahn the one I have is fine. See my boy who is 7 said the other day "dad, this car will do 140?" no 110, "well why does the speedometer say 140?" kids...... smart little guy.

Yeah I saw the post, I was just replying to the fellow member that asked why I would want to remove limiter. The answer is I find it cheesy to have a care that has a speedometer that goes to 140 and really stops at 110 IMO. So again if I can find a contact that can rework software to remove limiter I'll throw the V rated tires on it and have the ability to get that needle there, not that I ever would.... It's kinda like owning a personal firearm. I have it for defense but probably will never use it, I hope. Better to have and not need, then to need and not have kinda thing.

not sure if it can be done on 95's w/o swapping out the gears too. they are a different breed. but if you do some looking around here you'll find westers garage and a few others can do it on 96 - 99 models for sure, but 95 i dunno

Removing a gvernor is very complicated, you will be rough at idle, choppy at top end, and risk your throttle sticking.

Removing a gvernor is very complicated, you will be rough at idle, choppy at top end, and risk your throttle sticking. It only requires PCM reflashing. No mechanical mods are necessary.

I have to confess that I've never driven fast with mine. I've had it to only 90 mph.

When I was like 15-16 some of my friends would think high speedo's ment the car went fast. Like the 95-99 Eclipses had like speedo's that read like 185; but honestly do you think a non turbo 140hp 2.0 4 banger is going to do 180-185? LOL however some cars will do the speedo or over, my lexus did a lil over it's 160 speedo.

I buried my needle long ago on the I-96 express here in Detroit... No mods, far as I know the car is completely stock (autobahn)
