Camaros are cool, an '81 Z28 is on my list. I'd rather have the SSR with 10,000 miles though. It's never seen snow and has only been rained on twice. ;D

The autobahn tranny has a 3:71 final drive and the non-bahn has a 3:48. There would have to be PCM/ECU swapping to have it work. I'm no expert in the is area but I do know "aurorabrain" took a non-bahn and made it autobahn functional.
I found an old post to answer your rpm question: "dens95, I went 60 on my lunch hour just for you, through a neighborhood...just kidding! I was at approx 1900 @ 60. From previous experience, 90 @ 2800 and 100 @ 3200. Never have pushed the 110 cutoff for my non-Bahn."
I think 70 was 2200 and 80 was 2500, guessing there.

So, am I correct in my thinking that, since my Aurora recently reached a speed of 127 (approx. it was over 125 but under 130), it is an Autobahn? Yep! The non-autobahns are limited at 110MPH, so yours is definitely an autobahn. Congrats! i have to disagree, check the codes, for me there was some guy thrashing his acura V6 thing so i had to give it a whirl, he was just pulling away from me when i hit 120 and i let go ....mine is NOT an autobahn, but this forum did make me check the numbers, and look at shift points and mileage to figure it out

I'm almost certain that non-autobahns have a 110mph limit. If it's not 110 it's very close to that. There are three possibilities that seem most probable:
1) You didn't make it to 120 (which I doubt, I'm sure you are correct regarding the speed you were at) 2) Someone removed the speed limiter (which is difficult, I also doubt this.) 3) Yours might actually be an autobahn.
Look at the driver's door, what does it say for the tire ratings? If it calls for V-rated tires then you have an autobahn. You can also look for the QQX code on the build sheet. How did you confirm that its a non-bahn? Sometimes looking at the speed rating on the tires themselves isn't a good way to do it... When I got my car my grandmother had put H-rated Goodyear Integrities on there b/c she never took it over 70mph, even though it is an autobahn.
The VIN number is the only 100% way to tell. My fiance deals with total loss insurance claims and she has had problems before where field agents have pulled the VIN and other information from the driver's door instead of the dash and it turned out that the door had been replaced from a donor... if you see it calling for H rated tires on the door then it is possible that someone replaced your driver's door with one from a non-bahn.

I have one of the three non autobahn auroras that aurorabrain converted to an autobahn. My tranny is actually out of a lucerne. My first aurora was converted to an autobahn as well by the brain.

Sure!! I am amazed by how much you guys all supposedly have, but one thing you guys don't have is the ability to take pictures or videos of anything.

Would like to see pics of the Lucerne trans install, the suspension upgrade, and everything else. Post pics in the showroom, would like to see it all. Not many people do these upgrades, so it is nice to see pictures. Would like to know how the '95 computer is doing with the Shelby motor, too. We can continue this conversation in your showroom thread. Sorry for being rude earlier, looking forward to pictures.

You don't have this sticker on your door? I would be surprised if you didn't but I guess it's possible! I guess you can see if it will go over 110mph, that's the fun way to do it! Sent from my Galaxy Note 4 via the ProBoards app

So do 99s have Autobahn option? Yes all classic Aurora's ('95-'99) were available with Autobahn as an option.

If the problem I'm having with mine is the valve body will the non-Autobahn valve body swap over and bolt up? (Are they the same) 98 model for both I have same exact car for everything except the transmission. And or will other parts work like the pressure regulator solenoid or is there more to it on that end? My problem... aurorah.proboards.com/thread/31906/weird-98-aurora-trans-issue

As I'm rereading this thread, there is a visual difference as I have both Autobahn and regular same year same color same everything. The only difference is Autobahn: gold emblem on hood chrome rims Non Autobahn: silver emblem brushed aluminum rims
