Unirok, glad to hear you're coming! So it sounds like we've heard from all the "regulars" in this area. All other Aurora owners near and far are welcome to attend and contribute to the fun! Rocketv8 wrote: Hi Gina. There aren't any places to eat very near the park that I know of except a deli about a mile away near the East picnic entrance (don't know their Saturday hours). There are many restaurants out on Route 1 which is a little drive away. Not sure what's on Hughes Drive or the other roads that border that end of the park. I don't know if the marina has any food facilities. I'm going to bring a cooler of food and drinks (my wife and kids will be coming along) and I'll try to have some extra drinks and snacks for others. Probably would be a good idea if we all cover our own lunches for the most part. However, I have some charcoal and lighter fluid that I don't use anymore since I bought a gas grill so I could also bring that along if anyone wants to cook some burgers and dogs. Let me know if anyone is interested in this so I know to pack it. Or maybe someone has one of those small portable propane grills they could bring. Any budding gourmet chefs in the group who want to prepare something special for the occasion?? Does anyone have one of those collapsible canopy tents (you know what I mean? One of those awnings without sides people use at flea markets and yard sales)? That might be a good idea to bring along. That's all I can think of at this time. I'd love to hear everyone else's ideas too so we can coordinate who is bringing what.

Yeah, I know - don't remind me! Been super weather for the past several weekends and now the one weekend I have a lot of plans it looks like rain. Go figure! I was planning on keeping an eye on the forecasts until Thursday as by then they should have a really good idea of what will happen. Forecasts I've seen so far say rain Friday, clearing Saturday, or rain Saturday and Sunday, so who really knows yet. Rain dates for me would be: - Sunday 9/7 at 2 PM or later. - Saturday 9/20 (though we should avoid Mercer County Park that day as they have a huge event there) - Sunday 9/21 anytime - Saturday & Sunday 9/27 & 28 anytime I think a plan B should be to do the same thing at the same place just on another date. Unless someone has a better idea.

Yeah I heard rain as well which is a concern for me since I am coming the furthest away. I had planned on going to the meet then afterward continuing to NY to visit my dad. lets all hope the rain forecast passes.

"I don't think the heavy stuff is gonna come down for quite a while yet" Bill Murray's character in Caddy Shack
C'mon everyone! We could show the rest of the club that we are die hard members unwilling to let a little tropical storm get in our way! Imagine the pictures we could get! Us standing beside our cars holding onto coats and hats as they flail in the wind and the sideways rain, trees blowing down behind us, white caps on the lake spraying us as they slam the bulkhead by the marina ... ;D ;D
I just realized Sunday 9/28 is my wedding anniversary. The Mrs might not want to spend part of it ogling other Auroras and meeting new people.
How 'bout this Sunday 9/7 at 2PM, or Sunday 9/21, same place, same time or maybe a little later like 12??
I've got ACNA cards ready to hand out to all attendees, plus a window decal, too. We might have to turn this into an "Auroras at Autumn" event. So, this Sunday 9/7 or 9/21 works for me. What about everyone else?

I could probably do Sept. 21. Depends on if we have people come in on Sunday that week. I'm opening the company that weekend and have to be available if we open Sunday.

Alright, so it looks like Sunday 9/21 is our new target meet date at Mercer County Park. What time works for you? 11 AM is probably not realistic for me though 12 or later should work. But if 11 is better for everyone else I will accomodate.

Well, if everyone else wants to do 11, I'll go for that though there's a good chance I'll be late. Gotta check with the "boss" to see what she thinks we can do. Actually, I'd prefer 11 to give us a little time to meet-n-greet before doing something about lunch. Let's shoot for 11 for now and I'll let you know within a day or so if that works for me but I think it can. So we should have 4 'roras coming this time. Not all white ones like we would've had last time but we won't hold that against CaseAce! Two classics and two 2nd gens should make for some nice pics.

alan, don't forget Chris's Beamer!!!! No, not forgetting unirok at all! Just saying we'll have 4 'roras there, and with Chris there'll be 5 ACNA members. That seems to be about all the regular forum contributors from this area so that's a pretty good turnout. Perhaps a few of the other less active members from NJ/PA/DE/NY will surprise us and show up unannounced, which would be great!

wow, I forgot this part of the forum existed. I need to scroll down more often... In cruising around the forum I saw that omegaic and paludi both state they are from NJ so I took the liberty of sending them a pm informing them of our meet date and inviting them to come. paludi said his weekends are busy, but he didn't give a definite No, either. Hopefully omegaic will also attend.
