I know that all this will be determined in the official thread, but I was just wondering what the sleeping arrangements would be. I can't speak for everyone but I DO know that Randy, Lance and I will have to stay overnight. I assumed we were all just going to stay at Kay's house. Is that alright? mmkthanks. ;D ;D

lolol thanks for taking my comment the exact OPPOSITE way it was intended! I was referring to the fact that I would rather not sleep in a tent or pay for a hotel haha. ;D Kay you're in Rockford, right? That's only 1.25 hours from Aurora. after a 9 HOUR drive up to Aurora that day, another hour will seem like nothing! It's about the same distance home too, maybe a half hour difference. By no means am I forcing us on you or anything, a motel will do just fine. Just saying it wouldn't be a deal for me! ;D

im looking to stay in a hotel and if anybody needs a place to crash the hotel would be open, I dont think my mind would stay sane if I had to make a round trip in one day, not to mention the aurora would probably like a bit of a resting period. And kay you have what a 20 minute drive lol

So yes I'm interested in camping, if we can make it and stay overnight. If we end up having the meet at a park or forest preserve, perhaps there will be a nearby campground which would be handy. But wait a minute, now this sounds like actual meet plans and not drivel!

As far as camping goes, I figured we could meet/hang out around town and then head to a camp ground for the night. Seems like a lot of people are planning to stay overnight. I did a little research and the closest campground I could find was called "Bliss Woods Forest Preserve" and it's listed at about 6 miles from Aurora. I cannot find any good information/pictures on the web though. Anyone heard anything about this? Maybe I can give them a call and find out if they have a website or something. By the way--Is this for sure going to be in June?? I'd be interested in doing a meet a little earlier, like in the Spring as well if anyone's interested. I'm still bummed that I missed the last meet.

I wouldn't mind camping. I invested in a pretty large tent when I got my Eagle scout, so I can house company if needed! ;D I camped overnight at Randy's house as well, it was actually kinda fun! If us out-of-towners end up camping out, do you think we'll be able to convince the illinois gang to camp with us? I would LOVE some blueberry surprise in the morning... btw Rob, whats this talk about you coming to the meet? I thought you werent going to be able to make it! I'm up for moving the meet a little earlier if it means more people will be able to come... what do you all think?

Well, I just checked out my class schedule and I have Spring Break March 14-March 22. That seems a little early to me, I'd rather it be nice and warm outside so that we can get plenty of sunshine.
Other than that, I'm out of class on May 8th. So, how about the middle of May?? Say, May 15th or so? That would work out for me. How about you guys? Think that would fit your schedules?
BTW-- Xj (what's your name anyway??), I'd love myself some blueberry surprise as well, I hear its pretty good. *glances at kay*

I know I would not be available in May... as the case with probably anyone with kids in school. Even our weekends are usually booked. Plus it's a busy time of year for me at work. Summer is much calmer. Mid to late June works well because (a) it's warm but not too hot, and (b) more folks can get time off.

Well, seems like that is when we are running into problems with rob being able to make it down. We may not be able to settle on a time that EVERYONE can come, so we have to try to figure out when the most people will be available. What about early-mid June?? I think Rob said that he wasgoing to Montreal in July at some point. So, Rob, what is the latest date that you think you could swing?? Anyone else have anything we should try to schedule around? I can just request the time off, as long as it's at least 2 weeks in advance I'm fine. So, no quarrels from me. Any time, as long as we settle on the date in advance. And Kay, my name is Tyler. Nice to meet ya!! If you're gonna make some blueberry surprise, you can leave the surprise out of my batch!! ;D And xj, your name is CollinS, not Collin? Just want to make sure.

Keep in mind Budget cuts, so that means most of the States historical landmarks and many camp grounds are closing down tommorow Sunday Nov 30, 2008. I wonder why we have no money to fund these sites ahh Mr. dumb governor "Blago", oh thats right you need the money to fly from Chicago to Springfiled everyday to your office for one hour and fly back to get nothing done but to pay yourself and take us Illinois taxpayers money.
Sorry for the little comment I just couldnt resist myself since that is how most of us feel about him.
I think middle of June works out the best and yes I will try to come this time. But I dont know what car to bring.

Secondly, Rob I'd love if you can come, but we have to try to get something for most people We'll have to figure it out for sure, so don't count yourself out just yet.
