My brother + family is going to O.O.Beach in july, before going to Halifax. I have an urge to follow him to the beach, then get back home. What's the price of gas, in Maine? How zealous are the state cops? What fellow ACNA'er is near by?

You can find the gas prices for just about anywhere in North America at; gasbuddy.com/Scroll down and on the left is "Gas Price Temperature Maps" I find it very useful.

Done! Thru H91-93, then route 302,*Roosevelt trail* very scenic drive. Totals: 1010km(628 miles), 14h:29m ET, 108.4 liters (26.7 US gall.), average 10,7 l/100km (27mpg imp-22.5mpg us.) Without the Conway+ lake Sebago +Champlain bridge(Montreal)traffic jam, it could have been 30 mpg easy! Just loved driving in New Hampshire, of course, had to slow down in the small towns, but there was no real hurry. Bad points: The crank sensor(s) started acting up, sometimes the idle would go to 2500rpm. And I noticed the rear brake pads don't touch the whole disc surface. Oh well. Stuff happens. Photo time: . And the odometer turned 140 000km (85 000m) in this trip. Overall, a nice experience. Bonus: I passed in front of the Hartmann model railroad museum. www.hartmannrr.comNow I know where it is, "I'll be back!"

No, Paradise Park. Very nice, well laid-out, quiet, + nice neighbors. 10 minutes walking distance to the beach.

Oh yeah ok. Yeah real nice but tight park. It was always a pain bringing in our large trucks into that park. Yeah nice neighborhood over there. Its hidden at the end of the street.

Heck if I had a new hot water heater, you could of stayed at my place. Property taxes are crazy in my neighborhood.

That place is just a little over an hour from where I live. Looks like you were at the information building in North Conway,NH (I can tell by the maps). If you plan to do OOB again fro 2010, (and the same route), the bridge in Naples,Maine , on Rt 302, might be under construction.

No OOB in 2010, but the museum is on my "to go to" list. [/quote Please let me know if and when you are going to NH. With NO traffic (i.e. early in the morning) and good roads (no potholes), I can get to N. Conway in 40-45 minutes (usually its an hour).

Too early to tell, but it's in my calendar. As long as fuel doesn't go up to 4$ a gallon again...

When you were on RT 302(in Maine, 40-45 minutes away from N Conway), you passed by a MAJOR OLDSMOBILE COLLECTION(in Casco) ! Mostly parts cars (50+), but some nice jewels too. This is where my blue W-34 got totaled ( the 60X80 crashed on 30 classic Oldsmobiles, almost 7 years ago). Sorry no Auroras there , but there is one Olds E body, 67 Toronado, loaded with rare goodies, plus it an unusual 5 passager model to boot, bucket seats,no console. (Over 96% of the 1st generation Toronados are 6-passager jobs). Even if you find an early Toronado with bucket seats, 9 times out of 10 it would have a console (1968-70 models had a floor shift, 1966-67s , no floor shift with consloe option) Also on the same route(13-15 miles later), in Windham,ME, there was a Black Cherry 1995 CLassic for sale for $500. 245,000 mile, autobhan option - but it had a cracked a-frame . That Classic sold months ago.
