This is a neat way that I've found out, specific to these ACNA forums, to upload pictures! Anyways, I'm not sure if this has been done before, but it'll be done now with pictures and all! EDIT: The image hosting link can only be accessed if you click on "REPLY" There will be no link if you hit "Quick Reply." If you do the quick reply, you will have to go to the URL manually and do it. Either way, it's possible. Step 1: First thing you want to do, is click on the "reply" image/link in the corresponding thread you'd like to post in. Step 2: Click on "Upload an image with ACNA" Step 3: Verify, at the top of your browser in the navigation pane, the URL in the address bar looks like this Step 4: Click on the "Choose File" button Step 5: In the dialog box that pops up, navigate to the folder that your pictures are in. From there, click on the picture you want, and then click "Open." Step 5.2: Click on "Upload" Step 5.3: You will then see this. Step 6: Then find the line underneath "Show Directly This Image" (which I think should be changed to "Show This Image Directly") click on the URL next to BBCode (Forums). You should only need to click once and it will highlight it all -- Then hit Control+C to Copy the URL. Step 7: Paste the URL into the message you want! Simple as that. Thanks for taking the time to read this!

By the way -- This is an image host that, if necessary, can be used to show to friends. It's very clean. You can also click on "Upload Image" directly from the Reply Page, but this uses Imageshack. My luck with imageshack, is they delete the pictures, which is why I showed this method, for the longevity.

Thanks for the walk-through wireless, very clean description! That ACNA utility is one that we added after a member donated the hosting space, to overcome the difficulties of Imageshack and Photobucket as you mentioned.

Thank you! I've seen a lot of people asking it around the forums, so I figured I would make an easy-to-follow guide, as a sort of "first contribution to the forum" thing And I noticed that the ACNA utility is VERY well done -- and it's fast. Whoever made it really knows their stuff -- It's great! I find it kind of weird that other people notice that Imageshack/Photobucket remove photos. Photobucket has the lame bandwidth issues, and Imageshack just deletes after a while(albeit, it's a LONG while, but it still deletes them)... i'm hoping for longevity of this one!

I haven't seen any Server 500 Errors yet.
I have noticed, though, that with the image-hosting if you upload an image larger than 2mb(in my case, 4mb per pic was attempted) it says "Invalid File Type" instead of "Image Size exceeds 2mb" or whatever it should say.
What page does it say the Server 500 error on?

Holy Giant Photo, batman! The Test Forum is the preferred place to try out your photo uploading skills and figure out when a pic needs to be downsized for optimal forum viewing.

Wow I guess your definition of simple and mine are totally different. Simple for me would be 1. add pic 2. browse 3. select "my pictures" 4. pick a pic then post
Like i said it's still a great site but i just wont be posting pics.

I tried uploading a photo, but I got a "Server 500"error. I'm given the option to resize the picture, and it asks for a pixel count....next time, what should I select?

Make sure the file size isn't above the max and use 1000 for the resize.

The easiest way to maintain aspect ratio is to crop your avatar image to square, something like this; and make sure both avatar height and width boxes are set to 100.
