Has anyone tried that anti-fog product rain-x has out now? The caddy likes to fog up when its loaded with passengers and I was wondering what some of you members recommend and/or use?

Never used any, but turning on the rear window defrost should warm it enough to help clear it once it starts fogging.

It's more the side windows. Not necessarily the back and/or front. They need to invent an ALL WINDOW defroster.

use the AC, it acts as a dehumidifier

The AC is the integral part of the defrosting process. Thus the reason AC is automatically activated when defrost is selected. The compressor removes moisture from the air. This dry air works better for removing fog from the windows.
The compressor will also last longer when used at least once a month for 10 minutes at a time all year long. I make sure to run mine a couple times a month even if not needed. AC refrigerant has a lubricant with it that lubes the seals in the system, if you keep the seals lubed they are less likely to fail as they age. Rather than just sitting motionless for winter.
Don't know anything about rain x defogger though..

I've had good results with the Rain-X products, have not used the anti-fog though. I have a Rain-X window cleaner (like Windex) for the exterior. I'm sure it would be fine on the interior too. I think your friends are just full of hot air though...

Rain-x Anti-fog is crap. I had a small fogging problem in my Buick under specific circumstances so I applied the rain-x anti-fog as per the label. No joke, the first time I turned on the car with a clear windshield, the defrost vents came on and instantly fogged the window to the point that I couldn't see anything. I had to completely remove it before the effects went away. I couldn't believe how opposite the effect was, so I thoroughly cleaned the windshield and tried again with the exact same results. Horrible product.
I have tried an anti-fog product in the past that worked great, but I can't remember the name, I believe it was a generic store-brand one time use wipe or something. All I know is the Rain-x anti fog is a counter-productive, worthless product.
Edit: My apologies, I now see this is a very old thread that I've ressurected.
