the other day when i was cleaning on the tail lights i also decided to clean the lip of the fender wells, they were black from all that crap we had during the winter, i had purchased this stuff at the dollar store and thought since it works pretty well in the kitchen as a degreaser, why not try it, WOW........i literally sprayed it on and wiped every bit of that black off with the first swipe.....i was amazed.........it cost 1.00 and works very well

Decided to put the K&N filter back in. Was looking at the airbox and the horn that runs between the 2 chambers. Compared its' inside diameter with the opening to the outside(bottom left corner) and it's about a 1/2" smaller in diameter. I'm not really interested in a CAI(keeping it stock) so I figured I'd just remove the horn to get better air flow. Had to pull the whole airbox to get to the bottom as I had to squeeze the tabs on it to get it to release. Also cleaned the MAF and MAP sensors. Throttle body still in good shape. Hoping this will help my gas mileage some. We'll see if it does.

Wow, what did I do to my Aurora today, that is one I am glad to post about. A friend and I went to the local you pull it. I found a red 95 Gen 1 Aurora. Got front door handles, compass mirror, trunk shocks, oxygen sensor, high pressure power steering hose and trunk cargo net. My front door now open from the outside, my rear view/compass mirror plop around at every stop or speed hump. My trunk lid holds up. We still need to install the power steering hose and the oxygen sensor. The front fenders and hood were damaged from and engine fire. Some gorilla broke out the front windows and destroyed the front door panels. The dash and glove box are good. I am going back for the drivers front seat. It is natural leather, the passenger seat is good and the back of the rear is good. There is even a pair of original front floor mats with the Aurora Logo! If anyone is really wanting something, let me know and i will check to see if it is available? this is not an Autobahn model Bahaha! A gorilla? Are you talking about your interior or the yard vehicle? lol My drivers seat is bad as is the drivers door panel, other than that my interior is dirty and i am thoroughly cleaning it. The yard vehicle obviously at one time had a spotless interior, but someone tried removing the master power window switches in the drivers door and destroyed the complete door panel. the destroyed the console looking for who knows what? they ripped out the clove box to access something and left the computer in the floor. They were very destructive and destroyed a lot of nice clean parts, that did not have to be destroyed! A very sad sight.

Clay bar 2X, coat of wax tomorrow. Pics dont really do the justice you see in person, but here yall go Can you spot the little bug on the white car here? LOL ^ Also tonight my dad said I'm wasting my time and money. That these cars will never be worth anything in 20 years (which they wont) but you'd think that he'd appreciate that i take care of my things. Dont you think so?

Also cleaned the MAF and MAP sensors. For the record, you only have one or the other. 95=MAP, 96 on = MAF. The computer uses them for the same purpose, just different methods. Back on topic, I drove her today, and in return she put a smile on my face.

Daniel, personally im proud of you....there arent that many young men your age now a days that are into cars, unless its those little tuner cars....and those arent cars....so keep "waisting your money"...its yours, and so is that beautiful car you have...dont let ANYONE tell you otherwise.....i can tell you this and prove it with numbers from my area.....i dont see any caddys or lincolns (cars, not suvs) that are from our cars time period that have a resale like ours do....the ones that do sell for more are the ones that have the sound system in them that cost more than the car and a set of 28's on it that makes it look like a tonka toy.....so dont sweat it.
oh, and Tipsy....kiss my tailpipe....lol... ;D....jk

Thanks guys, I try to drive around something i can be proud of. He doesnt ever wash his 30th anniversary camaro. I have to if he lets me borrow it because its so disgusting.. My parents used to say the same stuff to me when I first got my white Aurora -- I was 19 at the time. I spent every single Sunday washing the car and polishing the rims. Then, for Mother's day one year, I cleaned my mom's Trailblazer top-bottom and bought some aluminum polish for her rims. I think she almost cried when she saw how clean it was. Everyone in my family begs me to wash their car now. Don't let it bother you, dude. The resale value really isn't important for a car that's your daily driver. It's the pride that you get from driving it into a grave. Enjoy it!

I didn't do anything to an Aurora.
BUUUTTT the Caddy went in for a new Tire. Now I have four matching Michelin Hydro-edge and the car rides alot nice now.
I then went to the local "Spray your paint off the car" wash. Got the ride home and began the extremely long process of hand buffing and polishing of those beautiful rims.
I then wiped down all the seats with a quick leather detailer and she is good to go! Now with the price of gas she is going to be making a beautiful Driveway queen.

The drivers side of the trunk was not lined up with the body! I spent about thirty minutes figuring out and adjusting. It is now lined up perfectly!
