I have two '95s, so statistically I broke even with a 96? but since mine are a pair (both Mediterranean blue 95s), I think that trumps your rare 99! haha Cheers!

I'm curious to see what kind of year-ownership breakdown we've got here now, since there are lots of new members lately. (Note: if you have more than one Aurora, vote for the one you drive the most ) Let's see the numbers! 1 vote for 1999.

I own and my wife loves our 95 Autobahn Classic. Put a 120 amp kill switch on front of rear seat mount to use for 5-10 minutes to shut off all power and clear all computer codes whenever I get the SES light from the intermitant speed sensor in the tranny. AS some of you know this is a $2500 to $3000. repair and so the $100.00 including labor for the switch is a much easier fix for this annoying THUMP on gear changes. Put 14 LEDs across fog light lenses for better daytime visibility. They are on the main ignition switch and really look good and make the car stand out at dusk and rainy situations.

Let us see, sounds unique.

Just voted for '97. A dream realized - can't tell you how great it feels to finally be an Aurora owner. When I see it in the garage or in the lot at work I still can't believe it's mine!

Well, still driving my 97. Can’t say it’s been pain free, but that is part and parcel of owning a classic older car. Love It!!

I have only one. Mine is a 2001, which seems to be the most prevalent here. Can anyone tell me why it is? Were there more made that year, or is there another reason? -Bruce

Were there more made that year, or is there another reason? -Bruce You're exactly right Bruce. Ownership numbers almost mirror production numbers. ( from Wiki) Production Figures by Year: 1995 45,677 1996 22,349 1997 25,579 1998 23,955 1999 18,729 2000-2001 53,640 2002 8,576 2003 7,217 Total 1st Generation 136,289 Total 2nd Generation 69,433[citation needed] Grand Total 205,722There is no 2000 model. Auroras manufactured from late 1999 through mid 2001 were all sold as the 2001 model. So from the numbers above, more than 1/4 of ALL Auroras are '01s.
