I brought my small grill last year (a Smokey Joe) and someone brought some charcoal ... I've got the grill but no charcoal unless I stop to buy some. If anyone will happen to have charcoal, let me know if I can use some else I'll pick some up. I'll bring the grill again this year. Last year we brought some 1/4 lb beef hot dogs from Costco and they seemed like a big hit. I'm not a hot-dog fan but I make exception for these! I can bring some again, and also pick up a stack of Costco burgers. If anyone feels like bringing some buns, please let me know else I'll pick some up as well. Between the hot dogs and burgers I should be able to supply enough meat for everyone (how many will there be this year? ) Let's hope there are some yummy desserts to top off the meal! Dave

I'll be in the Illinois area overnight. I know there are some people who are closer to IL than I am (9 hours is quite a trip haha) That could probably stay there later as well. I'm not sure exactly how late. Maybe you could PM me and I'll shoot you my cell number? You can text me when you're off and I'll let you know where we're at.

Collins, drive carefully and check in with your ACNA Mom us when you get there...lol I have a smokey Joe...it's not in great shape but I'll bring it again. I have some charcoal and lighter fluid that I'll bring. I think if we need any other supplies we could run down to the grocery store. Yes, the plan is to bring blueberry surprise I know I would probably not be welcomed if I didn't...besides, I know it's the 'nuts favorite!

Just wanted to summarize for those who don't want to search the entire thread... Where: Map found here -> aurorah.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=Local&action=display&thread=15167&page=25#191488When: 10:30am is the recommended start time. (I will probably arrive around 11am) Food: I'll bring enough food for lunch (burgers, hot dogs, buns, condiments) and I'll bring a grill. Kay said she'll bring some charcoal and lighter fluid (thanks!) and a dessert. rcsrgreat (Don) said he'd bring soda. Perhaps I'm missing other posts ... if so please update this for me... Weather: Plan for 90 degrees and high humidity (index of 97) with rain (thunderstorms probably). Thankfully we have a covered area! My family will be there as well, so if anyone has children please feel welcome to bring them! Hope this is helpful! Dave

The meet was pretty nice - the rain held off and we actually had some decent sunshine.. and thankfully it wasn't as hot as last year. We had 10 cars there - thanks to all who were able to make it! Funny - this is the third year we've had this in Aurora, and we've never had a 3.5L V6 Aurora present - all have been V8's! I didn't take many pics, but hopefully some turned out okay. Had a great time!
Special THANKS to Collins who made the trip from Kansas. Collins and Don learned a very good lesson today, always come to a complete stop at STOP sign on Forest Preserve property. Yes, the tree cops gave them both tickets for rolling thru a stop sign at the preserve. Haven't they got anything better to do like chase masked raccoons scrounging in the dumpsters?
Scotty, you missed the Blueberry surprise.

Wow...that water tower shot just doesn't look right without lucy in the line up. It looks like I missed a great meet. Collins, short of picking me up and throwing me in the car, almost got me to ride with him. Shame I didn't.

Scotty, you missed the Blueberry surprise. Nooooooooo! Looks great everyone, and another turnout of 10 cars matches last year's numbers! And hey, put those photos over in Aurora Showroom if you don't mind. I'll link them back to the "Meet Photo Album" sticky at the top of this section.

My Audi has twin turbos and shiftronic and I freaking baby that car. So many mods for that engine but I just dont want to risk it.
