I'm a little afraid of the cost of lunch at the Roundhouse (seems like everything is more expensive up there compared to my area), although it is a kind of "date weekend" for my wife and I so I'll spend a little more than normal. Otherwise during our Aurora cruise, we could stop by any grocery store enroute to a picnic location (if a suitable one is located) and everyone could grab something different. ACNA shopping trip!

Sorry about that budsang1, I thought the date was included in oldsnut note that I pasted in the pm's. The date is Saturday, June 21st and we will be meeting up at the Roundhouse at 10am.
It doesn't matter if you have your Aurora or not, it would still be fun to see everyone who can make it...hope you can!

Saturday, June 21st, 10am, Walter Payton's RoundHouse, Aurora Illinoiswww.walterpaytonsroundhouse.com/index.php?load=gallery Google.com, then click on "Maps" kaykirk. Scotty, I have always used mapquest but, google maps are awesome. Maybe you all know this but I was able to drag the route on the map around the construction area and put me on track according to oldsnuts directions! very cool So for all of you coming from the west (like me ) here is a map, but I would suggest googling it for yourself. PS when you drag the route on the map, it will change the written directions too!

Javi the idea is show up & meet around 10am, cruise around, have lunch (maybe reverse the order of the last two things), then hang out somewhere for anyone that can or wants to stay in the area. A few hours probably, and no pressure to party 'til the sun goes down or anything.

For those coming to the Roundhouse, don't forget to bring folding chairs, coolers, sunscreen and a sense of humor. For those who would like to bring their own lunches, I suggest preparing them ahead of time or stop along you way at a Subway/Quiznos etc.
I will have two 10' X 10' Cabanas to get out of the sun. I'll try and have a Coleman Cooler with Ice Water in it also.

Yes we will be there with the Pace Car, Rain or Shine, around 10 to 10:30 at The Round House. Sorry I did not get up to Aurora area to scout other Park type places. It rained alot and the softball game was canceled. I have been scouting for job prospects, out of state. From AZ to NY, WI to FL. All good leads, but no budget to hire my services until July/August time frame. Cooler - check Chairs - check Aurora Bean Bag game - check, if I can get them in the Car. Sense of Humor - check - get 'wit' it, Kit Kat - Kay

We'll be there too, and I will bring my recently constructed "Ladder Golf" set. Similar principle to beanbags, just throwing different things. Kay can I solicit you again to e-mail and/or PM a few of the remaining "maybe" attenders that posted earlier in the thread (but may not be following these most recent final plans)? Let's make the best effort we can to get as many members there. If it's a smaller, cozy group that's ok too.
